| Since
the commencement of 2006, St Raphael’s College and St Paul’s
College have merged to become The Combined Catholic Colleges of St
Raphael and St Paul.
The
change has meant that both Colleges are administered from the same
offices located within St Raphael’s College. Mr Tom Tarttelin is the Principal of the Colleges and Ms Mary Rowan is the Assistant Principal and Head of College, St Raphael's.
Both the Principal and the Assistant Principal work collaboratively and are jointly responsible
for the overall management of the day-to-day operations of The Combined Catholic Colleges.
St Raphael's has been a Womens'-only College for
the past 40 years and St Paul's has operated both a male-only and Co-ed
college for the past 37 years. St Raphael's remained as a Women's-only College within The Combined Catholic Colleges, and St Paul's has remained as the Co-ed College.
All
students from both Colleges now enjoy dining facilities in an extended
St Paul’s dining room which is approximately two minutes' walk
across paths from either College. As well, both Colleges, while
maintaining separate identities through different crests, colours
and College ethos, nonetheless participate in a number of combined
events and occasions throughout the year. These events include a
Formal Dinner known as The Bishop’s Dinner as well as a Valedictory
Dinner held at the end of each academic year to celebrate the achievement
of College graduates. St Raphael’s College presents a Grail
Award each year while St Paul’s College presents a Francisan
Award. As well there are a number of scholarships available with
a combined total value of $1500 which are offered to students from
both Colleges annually.
