SAINTS CATHOLIC COLLEGE - RESTRUCTURE

On behalf of the Roman Catholic Trust Corporation for the Diocese of Townsville (RCTC) I have restructured the operations of Saints Catholic College (the College) to ensure the continued growth and development of the College into the future. I am also desirous of enhancing the provision of care to the residents, particularly pastoral care, by providing the College with sufficient resources to achieve this.

 As part of the restructure, RCTC has created the following two (2) senior management positions:

1. Head of College/Chief Executive Officer; and
2. Head of Pastoral Care & Student Experience.

Mr Ty Goulter has been appointed the Head of College/Chief Executive Officer commencing 4 February 2020.  Ty will be responsible for all the operations conducted by the College.

Ty has extensive senior management experience in the hotel sector.  Prior to this role Ty was employed as the General Manager of a large hotel chain responsible for hotels in the Mornington Peninsula, Cairns and Fiji. 

Ty has been responsible for implementing change to accommodation facility providers that has resulted in improved outcomes for both residents and businesses through the implementation of practices and procedures that have improved business performance and service delivery thereby strengthening, growing and developing those businesses. 

I am also delighted to advise that the former Principal, Nicole Stott-Whiting has accepted my invitation to assist Ty and the College through the transition period of the restructure. Nicole will be working closely with Ty focusing particularly on the needs of the students including the provision of training and support to the Residential Leaders of the College so as to ensure that the College continues to be a leader in the marketplace in the provision of residential accommodation to students attending JCU. 

I also take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank the staff for their dedication and loyalty to the College.
