Reportable Conduct Scheme
Our Commitment to Child Safety
The Queensland Government has introduced the Child Safe Organisations Act 2024, establishing new requirements to strengthen the protection of children and young people. As part of these reforms, the Reportable Conduct Scheme (RCS) commenced on 1 July 2026. The Scheme requires organisations covered by the legislation to have appropriate systems for identifying, reporting, investigating and responding to allegations of child abuse or misconduct involving their workers and volunteers, with oversight by the Queensland Family and Child Commission.
Saints Catholic College is committed to providing a safe, supportive and respectful residential environment for all residents, particularly those under 18 years of age. In accordance with the Catholic Diocese of Townsville's Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy, the College has established procedures to respond to reportable conduct concerns, protect children from harm and meet applicable reporting obligations. All concerns are taken seriously and managed with appropriate confidentiality, procedural fairness and a focus on the safety and wellbeing of children.
